WWW Wednesday | 19-05-2021

Hey guys, it’s WWW Wednesday time! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and now hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. Basically, I have to answer 3 questions with 3W’s : What are you currently reading? What did you recently finish reading? What do you think you’ll read next? and then link this post to the host.

➼ I haven’t made much progress with The Bone Wicth and The Shadow of the Gods. I’m aiming to finish them this week because all my plans were disrupted by Shades of Magic series. I felt too nostalgic about A Darker Shade of Magic and wanted to finish that series so badly, thus had to pause reading these books. Now that I’ve finished almost everything I wanted to read, I’m going to focus on the ARCs and finish this by this month.

➼ Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating: I started this yesterday. I know I can finish this in a sitting because it’s engrossing and the charcaters are interesting. I’m halfway through with this book and there’s been some progress with the fake dating part.

➼ I finished two series last week. I was struggling with the pace in Queen of Air and Darkness, but it picked up in between and finally was able to finish it. This series had a great start, but by the time I reached book 3, I was let down, terribly by the plot. Anyway, this was my least favorite book of The Dark Artifices series.

➼ I also finished the Shades of Magic series last week. I spent a great deal of my weekend reading about elemental magic and Antari. I’m reviewing both the books by this week and I’m too excited to share my thoughts on them.

➼ Other Words for Home was a sweet surprise for me. I reviewed it last week and you can read it here, if you haven’t checked it out yet. Highly recommend it!

➼ Now coming to my new favorite book, Chain of Gold, it was splendid. I had a tough time with knowing who-was-who in the book because I was confused with figuring out who was whose child. Matthew felt more like Will’s kid than James. James was a mix of Tessa and Jem. Lucie was mostly Will and she was such an amazing person. Don’t even get me started on the Lightwoods! Let’s just say that it took a long time for me to come to terms with these kids last names, but besides that, this series was upto a great start and I’m going to wait until June to read Chain of Iron.

➼I’m reading Instructions for Dancing for a blog tour in June. I want to get it out of my way soon, so that I don’t to keep it for the last moment. I’m too hyped for We Hunt the Flame, because so many were speaking about it and recommending it, so I’m too excited abd hyped to read it. I plan to finish Spin the Dawn before this month ends, hopefully I get this lot out of my TBR by the end of this month.
