Quote it Sunday | The Bone Witch

“Quote it Saturday” was a weekly blog meme hosted by Freda’s Voice, but it’s currently inactive. It’s a weekly meme where you can add as many quotes as you wish, from whomever you wish.

I have to start the next book in this series soon. The ending left me more curious than I could’ve excpected.

There is always something new to discover every day, no matter how skilled you are.

Then perhaps we should carve a world one day where the strength lies in who you are rather than in what they expect you to be.

If you participate only in fights where your opponent is either evenly matched or weaker—or where you have been sufficiently warmed up—then you have already lost

Breeding isn’t what you were born as; breeding is what you grow to be.

True fear is harder to find than you might think

Too many hearts, not enough memories.

Everyone is believed to have two faces—one they show to the public and one they wear in private. The first face is their shaxsiat, or their honor. The second face is their ehteram, their dignity.

Many actions that elevate people’s opinion of you are not necessarily what you truly wish to do. It is a matter of balancing both faces so you can do what is expected of you and at the same time pursue your personal goals

Everyone is a puzzle, Tea, made of interlocking tiles you must piece together to form a picture of their souls. But to successfully build them, you must have an idea of their strengths as well as their weaknesses. We all have them

Even the dead have uses for a heart, even one they’re given instead of the one they were born with.

Always strive to do the unexpected

This is my new family. This is my new identity. I will be the bone witch the kingdom fears, and I will make them pay.

Let me know if you have read this book or which quote you liked the most in the comments.
